Download and save the journal entry file (QBJ file) that was sent to you by your accountant.

QuickBooks Desktop should now open your company file.

Select General Journal Entries from the drop-down menu.

Currently, QuickBooks does not support the import of journal entries from an Excel file.

You must convert the Excel file to a file in the Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) format.

There are numerous applications available for converting the file.IIF.

You can search for compatible applications that meet the QuickBooks import requirement on the Intuit Marketplace.

If you do not wish to use an application, you must manually enter journal entry transactions by selecting Make General Journal Entries from the Company menu.
